Las Pozas, a surrealist garden

Las Pozas is near the village of Xilitla, San Luis Potosí, a seven-hour drive north of Mexico City. Edward William Frank James was a British poet known for his patronage of the surrealist art movement. He "wanted a Garden of Eden set up . . . and I saw that Mexico was far more romantic”.

There is some mystery feeling upon looking on these photos. The stairs and the place are quite antique and old, yet the style and design is great.
