Growing and Learning!

I FINALLY started taking my pottery class! Since I have a bit of experience, I was allowed to skip the first 4 weeks of hand building! I knew exactly what I wanted to make for my first project...Tea Bowls! I made a variety of sizes to start off with. I need to feel them out with my own hands...make sure they feel quite comfortable while sipping tea. Tea Time is a sacred thing after all! The clay we use is a white clay. I want to see what the clay looks like after firing, so I just used a clear glaze. I'm hoping for a raw earthy feel...but clean and modern at the same time. We'll see how they turn out!

I found Leila on Myspace many moons ago where she has an amazing online gallery called the RED HEART CULT. I fell in love with her Graphic Design work and asked her if she could create a banner for my Etsy shop and Myspace page. She loved the idea...I sent her an image library to give her some food for thought...she took the ball and ran with it! We have been buddies ever since. She even opened her own Etsy shop, Red Heart 13, where she sells exquisite odornments, relics, and Memento Mori, and now does Graphic Design commissions too! My how she's grown! Naturally she's the first person I thought of when I decided to start my own Etsy Team! I will be hosting Etsy's Cabinet of Curiosities right here, every Friday! I will feature a seller from our Team every week...so stay tuned!

Season of the Witch!

I can't wait for Summer to be OVER. I'm an October Child...so I looove Autumn! Halloween and Dios de la Muertos, these are things I love all year round! Besides all the fun and festivities, I actually take this time of the year quite seriously. It's Samhain, the Witches New Year! And this Fall I will be introducing some BEAUTIFUL handmade Witchery to my shop...tools for the discriminating Witch! Witches are even on the runway this season! Luella has brought a bit of Magick and Folklore to the mainstream, I love it! I can feel it coming...I get totally charged this time of year! Bring on the Fall!

Black Forest Relics
