At first glance Adele Mildred's work reminds one of artists such as J.J. Grandville or Sir John Tenniel. But after browsing through her gallery you'll notice that she explores much darker themes...and things can get a little bloody! I love her attention to detail, notice the hand embroidery. Miss Mildred's costume and millinery work ain't too shabby either. She's quite the fashionista, mixing her own designs with vintage finds...always looking fab! Her designs have found their way into the wardrobes of LA's Lowbrow elite. Styling photoshoots and videos for the likes of Pop Surrealist Queen, Liz McGrath!

Thanks for introducing Adele Mildred. What an artist! And such a fantastic website, too.
This is fantastic! And a bit freaky for me. Look at the design I created for my Christmas party invitation/business card last year: http://hollisterhovey.blogspot.com/2007/11/creations-lachlan-goes-to-opera.html
Oh...and love your blog to bits! (a bit trigger happy I am). You have spectacular taste. Love it all.
